Mr Bush - Personal Evaluation

Attainment -
I would give myself a level 4 out of 5 for attainment. The reason i would give myself a 3 out of 5 is because i dont think i done aswell as i could have done that i would have wanted to do. although i tried, i think i could of tried harder and achieved better grades in my essays.

Effort -
I would give myself a level 2 out of 5 for effort. the reason i would give myself a 2 out iof 5 is because i think personally i always concertrated in the lesson and really listened tio what you were saying in the class,, as it helped me improve upon my media terminology.

Puncluality -
I would give myseld again a 2 out of 5. the reason i would give myself a 2 out of 5 is because i believe i have been in most or even every single lesson this term, so i dont believe i have missed out on any work in class and for homework.

Submission And Quality Of Homework -
I would give myself a 3 out of 5 for homework. i think that for the whole of this term i have completed most of the homework tasks and havent really missed any deadlines. However i think that i could have could completed my work in more detail and used media terminology more often to get better marks/grades.

Ability To Work Independantly -
I would give myself again a 3 out of 5 for homework. I think that that this is a fair number out of 5 to give myself because i think throughout the duration of class i have worked independantly and completed work tasks in class. although i think that i get distracted easily and that is something i have to improve upon in future.

Quality Of Writing -
For the quality of my writing i would give myself a 3/4 out of 5. i the reason i would give this is because although i write a good amount of writing, i think that the actual quality of my work can be improved upon in many waqys such as; using more media terms etc. this is something i must improve upon in fuiture in order to achieve a better grade.

Organisation Of Blog -
I would give myself a 3 out of 5 for the way i organised my blog. i think 3 is fair for this because my blog is not perfectly set out and could be improved in both the way it is set and the quantity of work i have produced. However i think that i have tried hard to produce work on my blog and havent just rushed to get my work done and out of the way.

Oral Contributions In Class -
I would give myself again a 3 out of 5 for my oral contribution throughout class times. i think 3 is fair out of . the reason i think this is because i do not always contribute to what i am sure about, however, to the things i do know about i contribute and engage in the lesson. i think to improve in future i should contribute to the things im not sure about as it might help me understand it more.

NEW MOON!

Media Language
the genre of the film "new moon" is a dramatic love story, so it is a hybrid genre mixed with drama/romance. the two people in love in this story are a human girl and a vampire boy. you can tell by just that, that this movie is going to contain violence throughout the whole movie mixed with love because humans and vampires are enemies and do not get along. also throughout the whole film trailer, the sound in the trailer is at a very fast pace. this creates excitement and gripps the audience to want to watch more of the trailer or maybe even the movie. also because the sound is fast, it is also very dramatic sound which adds even more tension to the trailer. cross-cutting is used very oftenly in this trailer, maybe even mosrt of the time. this adds lots of excitement because it is going from one scene to the other at a very fast pace, and the music is helping this do so.

Representation Of Genre
In this film it contains; 3 main protagonists, Bella and Edward and the vulturi. bella and edward are madly in love. throughout the whole trailer, the men are seen as the more dominant characters then the women. you can tell this by all the fighting going on is just men, thee are no women fighting. also you can tell by the cameera shots/camera angles that the women are more inferior to men because when the camera angles are showing them, they are looking down at them as if they dont mater or they're not important. the men in this movie are shown as being dominant in many different ways. they are shown as being dominant by the way that they show of there bodies which connotes that they are some type of sex models and that this will grip the womens attention. another example of showing that men are more dominant then women is the way that when Edwartd says to Bella they cannot see each other anymore and dissapeares, and she gets so lonely and misses him so much that she starts taking risks and putting her life at danger by doing dangerous stuuf just tooget a climpse of him, this was called the "adrenaline junkie". this cannotes a message that women are very desperate.

Audience
i think that this film "new moon" is targetted at teenagers, however i think that this film trailer is targetted mostly at teenage girls. the reason i think this is because teenage boys are more interested in action films which contain, lots of drama at fighting mixed with violence and blood and weaponary instead of watching love films because it will not excite them enough to watch it and they will just get bored. however, on the other hand, women or teenage girls do not like watching violence and all that kind of stuuf because they dont find it exciting, and they would much rather watch a movie full of happinesss and love which will excite them and make them feel happy.

Institutions And Hollywood Values
on one hand i think that this film is a low budget hollywood movie. the reason i think this is because all the characters in this movie were un-known characters before this movie, so this meant that it would not have cost them that much to hire them and get them to act in their movie despite the fact that they are now very popular amongst the public. however, on the other hand it could be seen as a high budget hollywood movie because of all the effects shown in the trailer.

Essay - Mr Bush

The film clip I chose to analyse was from a movie called "coach carter". The reason I chose this movie is because, it is about a group of poor and un-wealthy teenagers brought up in a bad neighbourhood. When this film clip first starts of, it shows a close up of a mans head from a low angle looking up at his head. from this we could tell that maybe he is a dominant character in the movie. When he goes into the basketball court straight after the close up, it shows a long shot of the basketball team, however the camera is at a high angle looking down at the team, this shows that the man is much more dominant than them. as the film clip goes on the teenagers start saying how he is right and they should respect him more and when the boy gets up out of his seat to say something to the man, the camera angle has a close-up of his face but the angle was a mid-shot which connotes that he is on the same level as the man. After the speech, there is a close-up shot of some of the other boys in basketball squad and the camera is looking up at them symbolising that they can be more dominant than they are. The last shot is a long shot of the camera looking down at all of them. This could connote that because most of them are not white, they are not as dominant as white people. however this could also connote that they are all as equal as each other. Throughout the whole of this film clip, straight cutting is used.

Throughout this whole film clip, lighting stays the same. it is shows the sun reflecting from the window. this adds an effect the the scene because it could connote that these boys are becoming more dominant, the reason I think this is because this movie is about a group of boys brought up in a bad neighbourhood and have been set the wrong example, and finding them doing work in a basketball court could mean that these kids are changing. however, throughout the whole film clip there is a consistency of "dark" lighting, this could connote their lifestyle because they are a bunch of bad boys brought up wrong and by showing dark lighting throughout the film clip could help the audience understand the movie and more about the characters.

Sound in this film clip is used very effectivally. throughout the whole clip, very emotional music is being played. this relates to the film clip because in the scene, the boys are talking about how they are going to listen more to their coach rather then ignore him and do what they want to do. it is a very emotional scene. This is called parallel sound. Parallel sound is when a piece of sound is being played that is related to the theme going on and this is what is happening in this scene. I think that the sound is very important to this film clip because it helps us relate to the characters and there background as they have been through a lot of emotional things in the past and by playing the music throughout the whole scene helps us both understand the characters more and feel their emotions and what they are going through.

The setting in this film clip is very effective. the reason I think this is because everything was in place and it helped  me understand the scene much more. The costume in this film clip also had a big impact on the scene because they were wearing "chavy" and "poor" clothes. This connoted the characters that they are from a poor neighbourhood and it shows how they have been brought up. from the facial expressions of the characters you can tell that they had been through a lot of emotional things in the past. this has a very big effect on the movie because it helps us understand the scene and the characters. We can tell a lot about the characters from their body language. They are sitting on a chair in an un-formal way because they are "slouching" on the chair with their hoods up as if they don't care about life or they just don't take it seriously.

Media - Essay

Media Language-
When i first watched this movie trailer, I thought it was a "thriller". the reason I thought this is because whilst the trailer is going on, an extract comes up and says something about a thriller. I also thought this was a thriller because it makes it clear because of everything that is going on in the trailer. for example, throughout the whole trailer, there is a combination of "dark lighting" this can connote that this movie is very sad and emotional, possibly scary.

Also, in the trailer, there is a close up of an old man taking the little girl by her arm into his room. this can creates a very big impact on the genre because as he is taking her, her facial expressions are so sad and she looks vulnerable, scared and innocent. this makes us feel her pain and can get us very emotional and sad, however it can get us very angry at what the man is about to do to the poor innocent girl. all these things such as; emotional, vulnerable, disgusting, scary occur in a "thriller" movie.

The sound going on the first part of the trailer is very sad. the creates a massive effect on the trailer because it gets us more into the trailer as we see what is going on in the first part of the trailer is very sad and emotional, and the music just gets us more in to the trailer in that it makes us feel the emotions.

However, people could argue that this film is also a "drama". a film with 2 genres inside it, is called a "hybrid" genre. people could argue that this is a hybrid genre because, in the second part of the movie, the little girl and the person she is working with, are on the run from the men and throughout the whole second part of the trailer there is lots of drama going on such as; running, shouting, threatening, crying, etc.

The sound going on in the second part of the movie trailer also connotes that this is also a drama film. We can tell this because throughout the whole second part of the trailer, there is parrellel sound going on which means a sound that relates to the actual theme that is going on.

Media Representation-
Throughout the whole of this move trailer, men are typically shown as more dominant characer then women. we can tell this is many ways as we watch the movie trailer. for example, at the start of the movie trailer, we see the man in the cafe talking to the little girl asking her to do a favour for him whilst showing her money. this can connote that the man is wealthy and that women are desperate and will do anything for money.

Also in this movie trailer, there is a closeup shot of  the old man taking the little girl by her arm as if he was heading towards his bedroom. in this close up shot, the man is at a higher level then the little girl. this connotes that he is much kore dominant then her and has full conrol over her. In the second part of the movie trailer, the women are on the run from the men. this makes the men look more dominant, because it shows that the women are scared of them and that the men are scary.

In the last bit of the trailer, it shows a long shot of a man holding a gun, shouting at the little girl and her partner to get into the car. he is at a much higher level then them as he looks very dominant and strong whilst they look vulnerable and scared. as this part of the movie trailer is showing, it shows clearly that the man is the more dominant character because of his levels and posture.

Media Audience-
After watching this movie trailer, i would think that is aimed at an age group between 16-40. the reason i think that this would be a suitable audience to watch thuis film is because, there is a lot of action going on throughout the movie such as; violence, horror, blood, guns, etc. if this movie got shown to a younger audience e.g. kids, firstly they would not understand anything going on throughout the movie such as; the storyline, what is going on, etc. also it would be inapropriate for this to be shown to little kids because there to young to be watching what is going on in a movie like this because it is full of disturbing actions.

Also, i think that showing this movie to an audience of 40 would not be suitable. the reason i think this is because, this movie is full of du=isturbing things and has a lot of voielence in it throughout the whole film. showing it to elderly people, they might get complaints from the elderly people because they dont want to be watching a movie that has a little girl making herself to be a prostitue and getting taken advatage of by people their age.

I think the perfect audience is 16-40 because young adults are intersted in these kinds of movies because they are packed out with drama throughout the whole film, and if someone is going to pay to watch a film they want it to be full of drama and action throughout the whole movie. this movie has everything you want in it. It has, violence, thriller, drama, and lots of disturbing scenes. there will be no complaints from anyone watching this film in this audience because it is what they would have wanted to see as it very effective as a movie, and it rare a movie like this will be released because of the disturbing scenary that goes on throughout the movie.

Media - Mr Bush

Two Extracts
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApID1SbqcMQ
This film is called New york city time square. as soon as this extract starts, there is a long shot being played with a very busy town and some people are even running. when i saw this straight away i came across violence or guilt. the reason i thought this was because, new york is a rich country and with people people running around, its either they're in a hurry to get somewhere, or they have done something wrong. As the clip goes on, we then see men dressed up like soldiers, using binoculars to look for people, this was a close shot. i think that the close shot of the soldiers connotes that the are the most important out of all these people and that they are better then everyone else. this shot also made me think that violence was present in this clip because you have soldiers looking for someone, or maybe something, and they wouldnt be doing it unless it was a valid reason.

This Move was made in the 1990s. It is called Mysterious Skin. this was the film scene of the film and as soon as this film starts there is a long shot with a shadow coming towards the door. straight away this builds up suspense that this may be about voilence or maybe be a thriller/horror. As the scene goes on, it shows a close up of a man holding maybe his partner or his dad etc. the man being held is clearly ill by his skin which makes sense because the movie is called "myseterious skin". they do a close up shot of this to try and get us feeling emotional, like he is, and by doing this, they added abit of "emotional" music to try and get us in that mood.

Four Film Stills

This is a poster of Mary Poppins. As you can see in this poster, Mary Poppins is "higher" then all the buildings and houses. this conntoes that she was a very special woman and that she was someone to look up to as a woman. also back in the day, people didnt have enough money to afford rich things, and she is wearing very posh clothes in the poster, this signifies that she is a very intelligant and successfull lady.

This as you can see, is a poster of a vammpire. straight away we can see this, by looking at her facial expressions. they use a medium shot in this poster so that you can see what she is doing, but also what is going on around her. given that we see "darkness" and trees with no leaves, we can straight away understand that this lady is a vampire.

This film still is taken from a movie called "get smart". a medium shot is also used in this film still. i think they have done this because, as you can see the facial expressions on both characters are "eager", "worried" and "anxiuos". this gives us an idea that they are either on the run or trying to do something dodgy. an i think that the medium shot is perfect for this because it shows them in rich clothes which connotes there guilt.

This film still is a "long shot". the reason i think this is because not only can you see both characters full bodies, buy you can also see what the atmosphere is like around them. i think that the long shot is suitable for this because the atmosphere around them is dark and scary, and with a gun pointed at one of the characters faces, it all blends in well.

HollyWood Notes!

Hollwood - Sound Film In The 1920's

When sound film was intoduced into hollywood in the 1920's, a constant speed was required for the sound which was 24 frames per second. this was because it was the slowest speed which meant is was the cheapest which allowed for sufficient sound quality.

The Vitaphone system was first embraced by Warner Brothers.  In August 1926, Warner Brothers introduced the first Vitaphone film Don Juan.   Don Juan was the first mainstream film that replaced the traditional use of a live orchestra or organ for the soundtrack. However, in Don Juan there was no dialogue in the film.

Mr Bush - Homework

Film noir was created by French film critics. in 1946 a man called Nini Frank noticed a trend of how 'dark', downbeat and black the looks and themes were of many American crimes and detective films released in France to theatres following the war.

Film noir films were old films. so this meant that they were mostly shot in 3 colours, grey, black and white. most film noir films were about horror/thriller but also mixed in with abit of love. most film noir films showed the "dark" and scary side of human nature. film noir was most famous for the fact that it builds up lots of excitement because it could build a exciting suspision that any time in the movie you can experience a rather "dark" or "horrid" side to the characters in the movies.

film noir consists of high key lighting and low key lighting. high key lighting is is where there are more/lots of filler lights in the scenes and more realist shadows that can build up suspision. low key lighting is where there are lots of lights throughout the scene. this creates lots of dramatic intensity. low key lighting was used commonly amongst film noir movies.

This is an example of a film noir movie. as you can see this has lots of lighting throughout the picture. it shows a woman with a gun, a dead man on the floor with blood on him and a man standing behind the dead man. this creates lots of dramatic effect because you have seen as evil side to a woman, and this is what film noir movies mostly consist of.

I think this movie has a "low key lighting" effect to it because, there are hardly any shadows, there is lots of lights in the picture, and that is what low key lighting is. also i think this is low key lighting because, low key lighting builds up lots of dratic intensity and when you look at this picture straight away you think the movie will be excciting because there is blood, horror and evil inside it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wm_PK2Fpu9c

This is an example of a film noir movie. the reason you can tell it is a film noir mkovie is because, when you loo at it, it shows you an old fashioned movie. also as you weatch the video the lady is on the phone to the man acting all innocent, however when she closes the phone and looks at the lady next to her, you sense a evil side is occuring to her, this builds up a dramatic effect.

I think this film also has low-key lighting because, there are no shadows in the scene, there are just lots of light which makes the movie "glow" in a way.  in had a bit of "high-key lighting" in it when it showed the man talking on the phone to the woman. the reason i could tell this is because, he was in a dark room and there was a shadow occuring in the scene to make it exciting.

Media Work - Mr Bush

this poster is a film called white chicks. i chose this poster because i think it is very effective as a front cover of a film. it has lots of bruight colours such as; blue, pink, white and gold. this can symbolise that is is a comedy genre because usually comedy is all about fun and makes people laugh. i also think this is an effective front cover for a movie poster because you cant see lots of detail in the poster, but yet what you see, gives you an idea of what the movie might be about. i think that this film is a successful comedy movie and was very popular when it first came out. some people still watch it now.

I think that this movie is a classical example of a verry successful action movie. when we first look at the poster, it doesnt look that exciting because it only has a picture of a man and the name of the film/movie which is called "scarface". however, when we say the name scarface it sounds exciting because things like, blood, violence and action come into our heads, and this is what people like to see in a movie. especially teenagers. this movie is an old movie and is still very popular amongst us as consumers. it has a lot of action throughout the whole duration of the movie and is a film that you can watch over and over again.

i think that this film is a classical example of a horror movie. the reason i think this is because, you can tell straight away as soon as you look at that poster, that there is going to be lots of scary things going on in this movie. the reason you dcan tell this is because, the film name is called "scream". straight away this makes us think of something horrific, like someone is getting tortured or something. also in the poster it shows a scary mask in the background, and you can tell that in this film, this man with a mask is going to be torturing and murdering people.

Media Homework - Mr Bush

i have chosen these 2 posters.
the first poster is a film called "forgetting sarah marshall". as you can see it says on the poster this film is a comedy so straight away we know the genre of the movie. in the poster it shows a very good looking women hugging russel brand.  it also shows another man in the background looking very sad so straight away we think that this ovie is going to be funny. i think that this poster is capturing and eye-gripping because it has bright colours and comediers are one of the most popular genres.

the next film poster i chose was "the matrix". the reason i chose to put this poster up because it looks gripping and engaging as soon as you look at it. it shows four characters in wierd costumes, and by looks of it, it looks like there on a mission. also the word "matrix" makes us think of something flexable or useful and in this case, the actors are very flexible and useful. another reason why i chose this poster is because it is an action movie and "action" is another very popular genre these days.

in my opinion, out of these 2 film posters, i think the most gripping and most effective is "the matrix" poster. the reason i think this is because the genre is more popular as you get more action is an "action" movie than you do in a comedy. also the film poster is more detailed,in a way that the characters hav props on them to make it more excited, e.g. glasses, weapons and wierd clothes. the poster is very detailed, it shows rain which signifies that this movie is going to have some "dark" moments. finally i think that the name of the film makes it exciting as when you pronounce the word "matrix" is sounds very exciting.

Media Homework - Mrs Wigley

Media texts are profit motivated. consider this in the lights on TV. what issues does this raise?
If media texts are profit motivated in the lights of television it might raise a few issues. nowadays the internet is becoming so popular that more percent of people watch through the internet rather then the television. so if the TV are trying to make a profit out of getting people to watch television they will loose many consomers as the internet is free to watch and is also very simple to get too.

Even though the television say they will provide educational needs for those in school/college etc the internet have lots of revision wedsites that are also free. so if the televission are thinking about making profit of us as consumers they will just loose so much more customers because the internet is already winning.

Media Notes

i think that the first person speakin was very detailed in what he was saying. he talked about how under-rated media was around the world and how people only get high grades in it because it is an easy subject to learn. but he made us understand that all that is false and went into a good amount of deatail about it. i really enjkoyed his speech and it gave me a better understanding of media.

the next person to speak was another man. he was talking to us about movie trailers and showed us lots of trailers or film openings from previous students doing media in A-Levels. this helped me because our coursework is going to be createing our own movie trailer and by watching lots of different previous trailers i got a sense of what to do for my movie trailer and how i am going to create it.

the third person to talk was a lady. i idnt really understand what she was saying because she talked about ghosts and i didnt really understand why. i thought that it was a boring speech and i didnt learn much from it.

the last person to talk was another man. i thought that this was one of the best speeches of the day. the reason i think this was because he explained media all around the world and brought in 3 p[eople working in the media. they talked about what they did in the media industry and let us ask questions. this helped me gain a better understand of life in the media and made me think about life choices for my future,

Media Homework - 2 Adverts

Dominant representation advert
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb8xuRATTIo&feature=player_embedded
This advert is a dominant representation advert. It was produced by LYNX.In this advert it shows a man and lots of women. it shows the man spraying lynx aftershave on and when he does that all the women leave everything and follow the man. The advert is a dominant representation because it shows how girls are stereotyped. they are stereotytped into being sex models for men and doing what ever men tell them to do. also women are classed as a subordinate group. i think that the target audience for this particular advertisement are everyone because i think that different groups will have different opinions on the advert itself.
Alternative representation advert
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PZdJc8x6Dc&feature=player_embedded
This advert is an alternative representation advert. the reason i think this is because it shows a black rap star who is very popular amongst the music industry. the advertisment was produced by Reebok. It shows 50 cent a black rapper popular amongst the music industry and it tells you throughout the advert that he was shot 9 times but managed to survive. this is also an alternative representation because black people are classed as a subordinate group. i think that the target audience for this advertisement are male teenagers he leads an example to them.

Media Homework - Analysis

This advert glamourises violence in many different ways. firstly, it has got 50 cent the rapper in it, so straiht away we think of violence because he got shot 9 times. secondly throughout the duration of the advert there is blood on the floor and a dark scary voice speaking in the background so we will straight away think that this is promoting violence. also in the advert it shows 50 cent sitting in a dark room by himself talkin to the camera, and dark is stereotyped in to being violent.

a global company like reebok would promote this type of advert in many ways. the reason i think this is because 50 cent is very popular amongst the music industry and having advertising them would get them lots of views because teenagers are really interested in his music.

I think that the target audience for this particular advertisement is male teenagers. the reason i think this is because  50 cent is very popular amongst the music industry, especially for male teenagers. his music inspires them and they try to be like him which is negative because he is in a world of violence.

Media Homework

Sins- I thought this was one of the best performances out of all the movie trailers. the reason i think this is because, it captured my attention with all of its action. this movie trailer showed lots of concerntration from the characters and had the ability to grip my attention from start to finish. everything in the trailer was correct and on-time and it flowed very well. the camera was flowing nicely and on-time and the sounds and the lighting blended in well. it made me want to watch it as if it was a real movie.
Night Of A Thousand Lies - I thought that this movie trailer was also one of the best i saw out of all the movie trailers i saw in media awards 2010. the reason i think this is because they made it look like a proper movie that was going to be released in the cinema because of its excellents throughout the duration of the trailer. all the characters were on top of there game and the lighting and the sound and the camera work was all excellent. it gripped my attention from start to finish and made me want to carry on watching.

Media Homework!

Media Homework –
The action movie I am going to pick to analyse is “Rush Hour”. The reason I am choosing to pick this movie is because I think it is very popular and I know the movie well enough to analyse it.
I think that this movie in-particular is packed with action throughout the movie. The story line in the movie is really understandable so this makes it easier for young kids to understand what is going on throughout the movie. Each “Rush Hour” movie normally lasts about the same length which is an average of 1 and a half hours, and I think this is positive because a movie that lasts to long will bore the audience watching the movie unless it is really gripping and engaging throughout the whole movie.
In the movies “Rush Hour” its genre is action. The reason it is action is because there is a lot of action happening throughout the movie such as; shooting, fighting, stabbing, fires, bombings and kidnapping. I think this has all the features any audience could wish for in an “action” movie. However, as well as action this movie also consists of comedy throughout the movie. I think this makes the movie even more exciting because these days teenagers are becoming more interested in “comedy” rather then any other film genres. So having to genres in one movie just makes the film very gripping and engaging.
Tzvetan Todorov someone who was very famous in the media industry created his own “beginning, middle and ending” and called them “Equilibrium, Disequilibrium and New Equilibrium”. Some stories can start of with the ending then go back to the beginning and finish in the middle, whilst others may just start from the beginning, go to the middle and finish at the end. I think that in ”Rush Hour” It starts with the Equilibrium, then goes on to the Disequilibrium and finishes with the New Equilibrium. In my opinion I would prefer a movie that starts from the beginning goes on to the middle and finishes at the end because it makes more sense to me as an audience watching the movie. Also in my opinion I think that it makes more sense and flows much better throughout the movie.
In this movie, another thing that I spotted that happened quite often is there were a lot of “Enigma Codes”. And Enigma Code is like a “cliff-hanger” and that is when your watching something exciting is something really is exciting is about to kick of and then the programme finishes or the movie pauses that scene then goes on to the next scene. This will make the audience want to carry on watching until they find out what’s going to happen. “Action Codes” is another thing that occurs often In this movie. An Action Code is events in the story that we know to be important in developing the narrative. And in this happens in this movie because when they pull out a knife or a bomb, we know straight away that something exciting is about to kick of and this makes us want to carry on watching until the end of the movie.

Jason Saab – Media Analysis on an Advertisement

This is an advertisement showing one of the best footballers “Cristiano Ronaldo”. The reason I have chosen this particular advertisement is because it will capture its target audience straight away as it shows a great footballer playing for a great team!
The colours used in this advertisement are black, red, white and yellow. The colours red and black create a “viscous” mood in my opinion. The reason I think this is because the colour red can be used as hatred as well as love, and the colour black symbolises evil and darkness. The colour yellow symbolises “passion” in my opinion because it is a light colour and most “light” colours symbolise happiness and passion. The picture used in this advertisement is very capturing. The reason i think this is because it has one of the best footballers inside it and he is representing one of the greatest teams in Europe.
The size of this advertisement is mainly focused on the footballer himself, so this makes all the other stuff in the advertisements fairly small compared to the size of him. E.g. the football, the stadium and the text. The type of shot that I think is being used in this advertisement is a “close-up”. The reason I think this is because the advertisement is mainly focused on the football star himself and that compared to all the other things in the advertisement Cristiano Ronaldo is fairly larger. The setting in this advertisement is set out with the stadium behind and the football star in front. This shows that the picture is being taken outdoors because the footballer is directly in front of his team’s stadium.
The lighting in this picture creates an atmosphere of passion and dedication”. The reason I think this is because the football star looks very concentrated and dedicated to what he is doing and looks as if he has a goal to achieve for his club. The pose that cristiano ronaldo is in suggests to us that he is not only just kicking a ball around for fun, he is in it to achieve a goal and for glory because this is what he enjoys doing and it’s what he is living for!
