Learner Responce To Essay

The institutions are having to have difficulties, with such competition in new and digital media, institutions are struggling to keep up with the competition. They are trying so hard to appeal to to their audiences, that it is like audiences are in control of the institutions.

Audiences of these institutions in new and digital media are so involved in new and digital media that they love it, it is almost as if everything is based around them and they get all the satisfaction, whilst the instutions are struggling to keep appealing to the audiences.

In a way it seems as if in new and digital media, audiences have more power than the actual instituions whilst in traditional media, audiences could just take in information and it wasnt as fun, so institutions didnt have such a big audience.

Bush H/W

- What do you think has been the impact of this explosion in the many different ways and formats we can now recieve news?

- The audiences have become so powefull in recent years since technology improved and new and digital media came along.

- I think that the news rely to much on their consumers/audiences for stories and are becoming to vulnerable.

- Audiences are becoming so powerfull through UGC and it is effecting the way institutions are being run.

- The internet is becoming so powerfull now that audiences are recieving news online, rather than going out of their way to buy newspapers. They are just subscribing to the news websites and recieving news from their.

- However, traditional media are still fighting against new and digital media, as to persuading audiences that they should still go out and buy newspapers.

- Traditional media is still popular with recieving news because audiences are always watching television and you have news channels such as;

THE BBC NEWS
ITV NEWS
SKY NEWS
CHANNEL 4 NEWS
BBC 24 HOUR NEWS

- On conclusion, I think that with new and digital mefia, institutions are becoming to reliant on audiences and audiences are bennifiting more than institutions.

Progress

Attainment- C
I would give myself a C for my attainment. the reason for this is because i produced lots of work but could have improved on it and made it better.

Effort - 3
I would give myself a 3 out of 5 for my effort. The reason i would give myself a 3 is because, i think i really enjoyed learning how to use cameras and making/shooting shots for a movie trailer.

Indicative- C
I would like to achieve a C grade as my minimum grade for this course. i feel that i could achieve higher but i would have to work harder as a result if i want to achieve higher. I feel that i could achieve a C grade comfortably.

Progress Report

As in the halfrterm we had to start filiming, i spent a lot of my time working out how to use the camera so that when it came for me to start filming i knew what i was doing and made sure the shots i was taking were not just dull and boring.

I started looking up lots of trailers related to mt theme to see how they set out their movies trailers and this gave me a small insight of what i wanted to do for some of my shots.

I will now have to start getting used to the adobe software as we are about to start editing for our movie trailer, the editing is key to the trailer so it has to be very and sharp.

Media Work - Ms Wigley

How do audiences access texts across the three platforms?
all of these 3 texts fifa 11, call of duty and pr-evolution 2011 all attract/interact with the same type of audience. the reason i think this is because, fifa 11 and pro 11 are both football games, and call of duty are action games. this means that they are most likely to attract teenage boys and not girls.

audiences are able to play a role in in the media texts as in, broadcasting they are able to watch the trailers and find out more about the game itself and rate the games out of 10. e-media they are able to look at the website and find out more about the games, and in print they re able too look at magaines and make quotes about what they think of the game itself.

there are not differences in the audience gratifications in the different platforms as all three platforms target the same audience because they are similar games.

What institutional issues are raised by the topic areas?
institutions are improving technogoly year by year. the games are getting more exciting and gripping. they are adding better graphics and more features into the games in order to attract a wuider ranged audience because in that way they will make more money and become more succesfull across al three of their platforms.

institutions are attempting to reah their audiences by making the games more exciting and succesfull. they attempt to do this by adding more and better features into the game such as; graphics, costumes, presentation in the game etc.
