There are many differences between proffesionally shot footage and taken first-hand footage. The main difference is that nowadays, UGC is much more hard-hitting. Also it is much more emotive.

A gatekeeper has an important role when it comes to news. A gatekeeper decides whether texts will or will not be published on news and they decide what will be broadcasted amongst the audience(s).

Before gatekeepers only had access to certain things in news, they were low-paid and there role wasnt as important, now they have a really important role in that they decide what news is published and what isnt.

The main concern held by journalists is that the rise of UGC has grown hugely. Journalist are hardly no longer needed because UGC is everywhere now and everyone is producing there own news. They are gathering there own information and are oing there own thing.
